cincinnati home stager: Forgotten a Password Lately...Read This - 04/16/12 08:13 PM
I was in a technology tips sharing meeting today and was told about a fantastic tool. If you are currently carrying around a notebook with passwords that you have recorded (not a good idea!) or if you are like me and have to get your passwords reset on a regular basis then read on. RoboForm is a great tool that will store websites you visit that require log ins and will automate the sign in process. Many in the group had been using this tool for years and strongly endorsed it as a great alternative to trying to remember. Please

cincinnati home stager: Home Staging Tips for Basements in Older Homes - 10/06/11 08:24 PM
As we completed a home staging consultation in the Cincinnati suburd of Hyde Park yesterday, I noticed some great steps that the homweonwetr had taken to begin to prepare their home for the real estate market. I can't take credit for these ideas but I can share them. Many older homes in Cincinnati have wooden steps that are do not have risers and can be fairly steep. The added challenge is that many of these homes have laundry in the lower level and can make these steps appear to be a safety hazard. We felt this homeowner had taken an

cincinnati home stager: If You're Paying Too Much For Gas Read This! - 03/02/11 09:57 PM
If you work in real estate you probably drive...ALOT! These gas prices are terrible and getting worse. I learned about a mobile app today that I am really excited about. It is called GasBuddy.com and it is a free app (at least on my Droid.) It identifies your location with the GPS on your phone and tells you the cheapest nearby location to purchase gas. I used it today and found a spot that was $.10 cheaper than my normal gas station. I am always looking for other ways to save...PLEASE SHARE!!!!! Jo Potvin Design To Market

cincinnati home stager: Owner Occupied Home Staged and Sold in 3 Days: The Dining Room - 11/15/09 01:36 PM
For those of you that read the previous post Owner Occupied Home Staged and Sold in 3 Days I would like to now share the photos and some observations. Watch for future updates as additional room transformations in this home will be highlighted. Dining Room: Changes that made the difference: Remove wallpaper - It's tough to create broad interest in a room with wallpaper. Wallpaper can be a turn off to buyers with different taste. Remove window treatments - It's safest to stick with neutrals. In bedrooms pleated shades are safe. In rooms where privacy is not an issue just take them down.

cincinnati home stager: Design To Market 3 Cincinnati Staged Homes Sell in under 30 Days - 07/07/09 11:17 PM
3 quotes-3 Cincinnati Home Sellers-3 Months! All of these homes have sold in the last 90 days. The common thread was a fear that the current market would prevent them from selling their homes and that they decided to take control. All three clients worked hard to put their best foot forward and sold in less than 30 days after staging with Design to Market Home Staging. Read their stories! Client #1 My house was for sale for 2 years and after Design to Market added their decorating touch it sold in just 30 days! They incorporated some of my

cincinnati home stager: Home Stager Saves Trees One Catalog At A Time - 11/04/08 12:39 PM
I think I am becoming a tree hugger! I have worked diligently over the last 6 months to minimize the number of catalogs that come into my home. It has become a game for me to see how effective my campaign is as we fall into the holiday season and the storm of catalogs that usually begin appearing in early November. I have attempted to stem the tide by using Catalog Choice and I have also resorted to sitting with my latest stack and calling the customer service lines of these same companies. The reality of all of this is that a

cincinnati home stager: Charity starts...with the next staged home! - 08/29/08 05:08 PM
My daughter and I sat yesterday evening staring with rapt attention at the photo of the African child we were soon to sponsor. The plight of children in poor third world countries has been a big topic in our extended family over the past 2 years as my sister and her husband have gone though the rigors of an international adoption and look ahead with joy to the time that they will receive their new Ethiopian baby girl. My thirteen year old has been profoundly affected by their experience and in her teenager way has set out to make the world a better place. She

cincinnati home stager: Wallpaper: To Remove Or Not To Remove - 06/08/08 07:54 PM
As professional stagers we are often asked by homesellers to assist in deciding the advisibility of removing wallpaper. It is not inexpensive to remove wallpaper. However, if the goal of homestaging is to assist in making a listing appeal to the broadest number of prospective buyers then how can we skip this critical step? Take a look at the following projects staged by Design To Market and see what you think. Design To Market has been staging homes throughout Greater Cincinnati since 2004. cincinnati home stager: Design To Market LLC: Take a Peek at Our Warehouse! - 10/27/07 04:14 PM
We at Design To Market LLC have been staging homes in Greater Cincinnati since 2004. We are asked repeatedly where we keep our inventory and how we manage to stay on top of the demands of managing these items. The answer to this question has been an evolving response that started with a crowded basement and a 10 x 10 storage unit. Today we are the proud owners of a "well-oiled" 4,000 square foot warehouse that serves as command central for the projects that we implement on a daily basis. Our ability to respond to the

cincinnati home stager: Look at the color of those walls! - 10/01/07 10:11 PM
You could ask..."what did you do to that kitchen?" The answer would be no we didn't put in new cabinets, we didn't put in new counter-tops, we didn't even hang new artwork...The amazing answer is that we picked (with a stagers eye to colors that work) an engaging new wall color to make a kitchen Pop! For the price of a few gallons of paint and a homeowners hard work this somewhat dated kitchen has the interest and warmth to engage any buyer. This home in an attractive suburb of Cincinnati was staged by Design To Market. For

cincinnati home stager: Mason Condo: One Year On The Market Enter Design To Market LLC and Home Sells in 21 days! - 07/27/07 11:06 PM
The following quote tells the story! Jo, My house has been on the market for a year with no offers. Since I had moved before listing it, there was no furniture when we had the showings. My realtor suggested I stage it and contacted your company to do the work. I agreed with your suggestions to give it "eye appeal". The furnishings were lovely and just enough to show perspective buyers how beautiful the house is when decorated. In just 3 weeks the house sold! Without your services I would probably still be waiting for an offer. EYE
