On the market for months, a well-maintained home in a nice Cincinnati suburb continued to receive showings but never the long awaited offer.  Feedback was lukewarm and gave the seller little to act upon.  The Realtor had done all of the right things in working with their client but they too were stumped.

I recently looked up the word neutralize in the dictionary and decided after seeing that the definition is "The loss of a distinctive feature" that I would forever strike that word from my staging vocabulary.   I hadn't given the word a lot of thought prior to 2004 when I and my team of designers began staging homes in Cincinnati.  But I had associated it with the idea of preparing homes for sale.  Now the word frightens me!

I am often asked the question..."You're a stager what services do you provide?" 
In truth, I believe there is not one answer for that one question!  Other than to say..."We work with our clients to assist them in putting their best foot forward in the real estate market!"  Take for example this bathroom that we "staged" last year...(and I promise is is the same room!) The truth is, with a good design team, a great contractor, an inspired Realtor, Lowe's, and a willing homeowner...the breadth of our projects can be limitless.
