We received a letter and verified the info.

We refinanced our home in 2006 to pay off some bills and taxes. We thought everything was fine until a year later w were hit with a tax sale notice and had to come up ith 10,000.00 for taxes and fees. We called our mortgage company (countrywide) to make arrangements because we knew we were going to be late. They offered a modification as we have an 8.625 interest rate. We thought they were really trying to help. They told us not to make the payments because it would throw off there figures.

In May while still waiting for their solution my wife lost her job and my mothers cancer came back. My mothers insurance would not pay for everything she needed so we had to help out.  My family consists of two kids and my wife and myself. I stayed in touch with Countrywide weekly asking for the modification being told because they had so many to be patient.

In November my mother passed away and we found out she didn't have insurance. Her funeral and burial was almost 11,000/00 (the economy package). Now Countrywide is telling us we dont qualify for a modification and started foreclosure on us. This has ruined my credit as I am doing everything possible. Can you please do anything to help us save our home, we have no where to go and my credit has been ruined so no one will assist us, you are my last hope.

Sincerely,
