frisco home sales: Recent home sales in Frisco, McKinney, Allen and Plano in Collin County TX - 02/09/10 09:23 PM
Here are the raw numbers for January 2010 home sales in Frisco, Plano, Allen and Mckinney TX. I've got the numbers compared to 2009s totals so we have an idea on how things are trending. Across the board the total number of sales is down - most noticably in Plano with a 48% drop. Everywhere except McKinney saw average price increases, Days on the market remains pretty stable, the largest drop in days being in Mckinney - indicating that perhaps prices should be stabilizing. In all cases the average price per sq ft increased - translating into good news for most

2009 is nearly over, Thanksgiving is tomorrow already! I've been thinking about what this year has brought our way that I need to remember to be thankful for. This year has been particularly challenging for most of us due to many reasons but even in the darkest of moments there are things to be thankful for right? I'm thankful that my family remained healthy and safe this year - even though I got swine flu earlier in November no one else in our home got it! I'm thankful that God has helped us keep the lights on and actually have our

frisco home sales: TAKE YOUR OWN AERIAL PHOTOS! - 09/08/09 02:12 PM
I'm a lifelong RC airplane fan and have always wanted to be able to take photos from up high in the sky, but the practicality of placing a camera in your usual RC plane is only good if you want to take photos of the clubs flying site. What if you want to take an aerial shot of your house? You can't use a regular RC plane for that because they all fly too fast, and can actually be dangerous to other people if you have an accident. Also taking off or landing on a residential road is not only difficult

frisco home sales: Are you really going to miss this chance to buy a home in Frisco Texas? - 08/18/09 12:49 PM
I'm seeing this more and more these days - the people who a couple of months ago who were saying "Yeah, I'm going to buy a home now to take advantage of the great prices and the first time buyers tax credit, I'd be crazy not to!" Well, its starting to become clear - you are going to miss the boat! It is already past the middle of August, you haven't started talking to a Realtor, you don't really know what your credit score is or if its going to be high enough to get you a mortgage approval, you may

frisco home sales: Dallas - Fort Worth housing 3rd best in the nation! - 06/18/09 01:00 PM
A recently released report by the Brookings Institution ranks the housing market in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as the 3rd best in the nation! #1 is Houston (another Texas city) and #2 is Buffalo! Local home prices have stayed relatively level so far during this recession, and in fact according to home valuations by the Federal Housing finance agency's quarterly price index which tracks loans mortgaged by Fannie/Freddie prices are up in the DFW area slightly from the first quarter of 2008. If we include other housing price factors, home prices have declined in the DFW area by about 4% from a

frisco home sales: Frisco Texas is stopping with red light cameras - 05/26/09 10:47 PM
We've all seen them, we've all heard about how the city puts these Red Light cameras in 'just to make money', well in Frisco as of midnight tonight (May 26) Frisco will no longer monitor its 2 red light cameras. It seems the contract with the monitoring company - Redflex Traffic Systems has run out, and Frisco is not going to be renewing it. The state of Texas is currently considering outlawing red light cameras and Frisco wants to wait and see if that happens before they sign any new contract. According to a news piece by NBC Channel 5 -

So, this is the time of year when we all start seeing For Sale signs popping up all over the place right? Unfortunately, your house is worth exactly what it's worth right now and what it may have been worth a year or 2 years ago is ancient history! You would like to buy a bigger or nicer home, maybe in a better neighborhood right? Lets take a look at the market today and compare

frisco home sales: Tips for Real Estate Sellers in 2009: - 01/26/09 04:39 PM
Here are some important thing to know if you're thinking of selling your home - put together by Mirela Monte Via Mirela Monte, Your Myrtle Beach Connection: It doesn't matter what you need. What matters is what the market commands. If you need to sell your property for $250,000 and the current comps for similar properties indicate a value of $168,000, you need to price yours at $165,000. It doesn't matter if your home is the nicest one in the development. If it is and you price it correctly, it will sell the fastest. Pricing has everything to do

frisco home sales: Good Credit? Current on mortgage? No Equity? - 01/12/09 05:09 PM
Here's some great advice as written by an associate of ours - Ken Montville. Via Ken Montville -- the MD Suburbs of DC (RE/MAX Advantage Realty): Recently, I've been running into folks who are not "in trouble" or "underwater" with their home. The payments are current. Income is good enough to keep the payments current. Yet, they can't sell their home! Or, at least, they can't sell it and make enough money to buy something else. Why not? Well, it seems that some folks saw the huge run up in home prices and decided to refinance and/or take some home equity
