The actual development of Dennison Place started in the late 1880’s when Civil War Governor William Dennison subdivided the farm given to him by his father in law- William Neil who owned most of the area and the subdivision of the farm became known as the Dennison Park Addition. Today it is unofficially known as the Circle Neighborhood because it was laid out on a grand scale with circular parks at street intersections.
