Many people are familiar with Lake Pend Oreille in northern Idaho, but few people have discovered our beautiful Pend Oreille county in northeastern WA, only a hop, skip and a slide on the ice from Lake Pend Oreille.  If I had figured out how to insert a photo, you would all come runnin'.  As it is, there are only about 13,000 residents in our entire county.  Lots of secluded wooded areas, great fishing in the nearby lakes - trout, mostly, and small mouth bass in the river.  Our Pend Oreille River is one of the 3 major rivers in North America that actually flows north, on into Canada where it joins the Columbia.
