I can't claim that this idea is my original thought but I think it is a great one.  There is a movement in this country to get people to withdraw their money from the large banks and deposit it in a local bank.  Customers have the same protection from the FDIC as they do deposits in banks like Wells Fargo, Citi, Chase, and Bank of America.  I think we as the American people should send a message to these people that we don't like what they are doing.  This is one way to make a difference.  If everyone would do this the banks would get the message. 

Deposits in large banks are used to fund things that may not be in our best interests.  Local banks and credit unions fund things that are local, homes, autos, small businesses etc.
