Gone Fishing - 09/29/10 03:57 AM
Last week I went on a short but very enjoyable trip to Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Late in the afternoon we walked out on the public fishing pier.
There was a little boy fishing using fresh cut bait. He made the mistake of laying his fish down on the pier and getting distracted.
You never know who is lurking over your shoulder.
He got his catch of the day!
Fall Season of Change: It's time to empty my pockets! - 09/29/10 02:57 AM
Joni Staples a real estate agent from Texas who I am also proud that I have meet wrote a beautiful post I think is well worth your time reading. Thank you Joni I will not look at coins again without thinking of you, your faith and your post.

Pot is not..... Good for the sale of your home. - 09/29/10 02:27 AM
I wanted to share another excellent post by Valerie Zinger. Buyers are turned off by heavy perfume smells when looking at a home. I like her tip about using fruit and lemon. Give it a try, I think you will also enjoy this light smell. Clean is what sells a home. Via Valerie Zinger (Royal Lepage Gale Real Estate): Okay, none of that either but pot pourri. Toss it out. The perfume is always almost toxic. Nothing says "sad and desperate" like a big bowl of dead leaves, acorns, pine cones and bark. Replace the morbid with fresh fruit - lemons or green (2 comments)

Valerie Zinger wrote a funny post illustrating a great point about taking a little time to update your bath when putting your home on the market. She has some great tips that will make a huge difference. Via Valerie Zinger (Royal Lepage Gale Real Estate): Get rid of those fluffy toilet tank covers and any floor mats or carpeting. There I have said it. What? If you, the Seller, have them and your house is not on the market, okay enjoy. But..... They have two huge negative factors going for them: 1. Artscape Festival at Lakeside Park Was a Success The weather was perfect to enjoy the Artscape Festival today at Lakeside Park in Pell City, AL. The artist that participated in the show had many hand crafted treasures. The talent of the artist was shown through the unique items on display today at the festival.
My favorite piece from the Artscape Festival is this oil/acrylic painting. It caught my eye because the oil was so thick it had a 3D effect. Jerone Vason told me this particular painting took two months to dry. My photograph does not come close to showing the beauty (12 comments)

I felt I stepped back in time when I entered the car show Saturday at the Lakeside Hospice Blues Fest 2010. Barney Fife's vehicle showed up, but no one ever caught a glimpse of him. : ) The car show at Lakeside Hospice Blues Fest 2010 was a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing the show again next year. I have shown a lot of homes in the Pell City, St Clair and Talladega area that had hummingbird feeders in their back yard. So this year, I put up a hummingbird feeder. Do you do take the feeder down now, or wait until all the other hummingbirds have had time to pass through the area on their way to migrate to take it down?

Pricing Your Property To Sell in Pell City, St Clair and Talladega County
It is extremely important to think about a good pricing strategy when placing your Pell City, St Clair and Talladega County home on the market to sell. Most of the time, sellers want to price their property with room for negotiation, this could lead to pricing themselves out of a sale. Why do I say this? Let me explain. The two most powerful things to consider in pricing positioning are; what is currently available on the market and if the sellers are motivated. In today's (4 comments)

My bird feeder was hanging from a tree in the back yard. Of course, as you can see it was a big mistake! How was I going to solve the problem of the squirrel eating all the seed?
