The market is hot, hot, hot! With interest rates at an all time low for buyers, the market has turned into a feeding frenzy, and home sales are skyrocketing in prices. In such a high demand, seller's market, homes are selling for record breaking prices, which means more money in your pocket. If you have been considering selling your home, doing so in today's market will bring you a larger sales price. Don't wait for the market to shift when interest rates begin to start going up again. The National Association of Realtors has gathered data to predict a strong 6 months … (2 comments)

huntsville alabama: Don't Replace Your Agent With The Internet - 11/10/17 09:06 AM
With the influx of new technology and web based solutions, it isn't a surprise that everything is moving fast into the era of the internet. From sites like Uber to Grubhub, we generally can pull up our phones or laptops to order what we want with ease. And with every industry being revolutionized by technology, the same methods are "attempting" to be applied to the real estate industry.
We could all agree that the simplification of the process through paperwork would be much appreciated by agents and buyers/sellers alike; but the attempt of replacing the agent by sites like Zillow and other third … (0 comments)

huntsville alabama: Multiple Offers...WHAT?!?! I Guess They Are Back!!! - 03/18/12 05:45 AM
Yep, that is what I said…It hasn’t happened in a VERY long time, but it happened yesterday. My clients looked at a home and totally fell in love with it.
A little background…We have been looking since around October for that perfect home. The first one we put an offer on was a brand new home, 3600+ sq.ft., with a large backyard. The price was $254,000+. Since the home had been sitting there for a long time and the builder hasn’t had anything sold since last summer (and this was January), along with the fact that the home was 80% … (1 comments)

huntsville alabama: Sad day in Huntsville, Alabama~the Vipers are leaving! - 09/18/10 04:03 PM
Its a sad day for Arena Football fans in Huntsville, Alabama. It is confirmed that our team, the Alabama Vipers will be moving to Atlanta and become the Georgia Force. The Vipers will make the announcement at the Gwinett Center in Georgia on Monday.

While the Vipers had a solid core of fans, Huntsville was the smallest market in the 15-team Arena Football League. Vipers' new home, the 11,000-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, is almost double the size of the VBC and gives the league a foothold in the lucrative Atlanta sports market.
It is hoped that another Arena team will be … (0 comments)

huntsville alabama: It Becomes A Law On Monday~No Texting While Driving In Huntsville & Madison, AL - 09/17/10 03:58 PM
It finally becomes law on Monday. I wrote a Blog in July when this bill was passed...and now we are here. Madison, Alabama has also adopted this law as well. Both ordinances make it a crime for city drivers to use a wireless communication device to "send, receive, download or view" electronic or digital content. This means no sending text messages, no reading e-mail, no scrolling through music files, no peeking at YouTube. Programming a destination into a satellite navigation unit while driving is also prohibited
The crazy thing is...drivers are still allowed to talk on cell phones. I know that as a real … (8 comments)

Another great article about Huntsville, Alabama in Government Executive magazine's August issue. It features a cover story on Huntsville entitled, "The New Federal City: Huntsville, Ala., is becoming the center of gravity for key agencies."
