Hawk ~ At Manchester Valley High School ~ Wordless WednesdayBeautiful Hawk perched on top of a light post at Manchester Valley High School, Manchester, Maryland ...I’m glad I had my camera! I drove to school the other day at the request of my daughter, she left her homework at home. As I pulled in the parking lot that gloomy day, I noticed this hawk perched on top of a light post. I’m sure he was scoping out his next meal. Buying or selling in Manchester, Maryland, I’d love to help, just give me a call. (6 comments)
Behind the scenes, before Settlement( before being the operative word) - 09/27/11 01:32 PM
Behind the scenes, before settlement (before being the operative word) Good people of Maryland, in order to facilitate your real estate transaction let me remind you that all lines of communication must remain open. The preferred method of contact being phone and or email, with access to a computer, fax and or scanner until we have confirmed the final, clear to close from the buyers lenderandverified that with the title company handling the closing. Missing in transaction, people or documentation can cause as much as a GO HOME and DO IT AGAIN or maybe just a few hours delay, that depends (2 comments)
Imagine the thoughts going through a buyers mind based on these photos. It’s a dirty house that really needs deep cleaning, windows washed, carpets steamed. A teal chandelier? How about that bedroom? Nothing tranquil about that color. That’s a lot of work. Whats more, you are giving the buyers leverage to reduce their offer price. In reality, these things could be fixed for a fraction of the cost imagined by buyers. Today’s market is competitive and chocked full of choices. Make sure you tweak your home so it (3 comments)

Motivational Monday ~ When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Have you heard that quote? Or maybe something similar. When the time is right, a teacher will appear....the disciple is used in spiritual circles. This morning my teacher appeared in Donna Harris. Reading ActiveRain with my morning coffee I read Donna’s post, ActiveRain - 1Million Point Club MilestoneAs I read her words, I smiled and felt proud and a bit of relief. Why? Well, as a Realtor® in a difficult economy I find myself wondering.... am I in the right business? Am I doing it “right?” I jumped into (2 comments)

How will you Remember 9/11?It’s been a crazy week, still adjusting to the “back to school” schedule, my baby girl turned 15 and we’ve experienced some really crazy weather leading up to and including this past week. Everything from an earthquake to torrential rains which lead to flooding in some areas.Being aware of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and never forgetting for any length of time since then, the shock and fear that infamous day brought to me and all of America. I’ve wondered how I could honor them, the 3,000 who perished. I’ve thought of them, lifted up prayers (2 comments)

As the heavy rain continues I’m sure the number will continue to climb. People are of the mind set, “we survived a hurricane without flooding, what can a little rain do?” Well, I remember as a child in the 70’s when Hurricane Agnes roared through Maryland. My dad was a state trooper at the time, he was called out to use our little crabbing boat to help rescue folks in some precarious places. Following the storm he showed us just (2 comments)
