19971: A Cleaning Tip - 12/07/11 06:02 AM
I just have to pass along a cleaning tip for all who might be getting ready for the Holidays, or ready to sell their homes!  The off-white walls in my house were looking grimy and sad, but I'm not able to paint quite yet.  I've tried different spray cleaners, but nothing helped much.  Then last week, I tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It worked wonders!  Smudges--gone!  Black mars--gone!  Weird, unexplainable marks--gone!  I am amazed and thrilled.  I'd tried this product years ago with no success, but Mr. Clean has it figured out now.  There were some  blemishes that will be … (3 comments)

19971: Summer Memories Captured in Fabric - 10/31/11 05:18 AM
Just wanted to share my summer sewing ventures with you all.  The "Something's Fishy" quilt is for my new grand-nephew, Nathan Robert, born Oct. 10.  The beach houses quilt is from a kit which I altered to represent our town of Rehoboth Beach, DE.  Look closely and you can see my doggie, Merlin, guarding the street from his post in the window.

Due to the unsafe weather conditions, the 22nd Annual Sea Witch Parade (originally scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, downtown Rehoboth Beach, DE.), has been cancelled.  Most of the other festivities, however, are continuing as planned.  Included in these are:

19971: 6th Annual Boardwalk Buddy Walk a Huge Success! - 10/25/11 09:16 AM
The 6th Annual Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Buddy Walk was the most successful to date, with 1,500 walking the Boards to raise over $63,000 for down syndrome support and awareness programs.  The Grand Total includes funds raised through Dining for Downs events held throughout the year in local restaurants, the Buddy Up Party and Silent Auction held Friday evening of the Buddy Weekend, as well as the Walk itself.     The Rehoboth BWBW is a model for Buddy Walks across the nation.  This flagship event is unique in that it is held right in the heart of town, rather than in a park, at … (1 comments)
