Governor Markell was among the plungers, and thousands of onlookers provided warm moral support for the braver participants. For more information and photos, log onto http://www.plungede.org/. Dr. Cecile DeSweemer will speak at Westminster Presbyterian Church this Saturday, 12/12/09, at 10:00 a.m. to speak on life in the Congo and the work of Butoke - a medical mission founded by Dr. DeSweemer. Dr. DeSweemer tells sad but fascinating stories of the Third World conditions in Africa and gives real insight in how the Gospel intersects real life in a culture that is in many ways different than our own. The church is located at 301 King Charles Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. All are welcome. (0 comments)
Need I say more? The parade was great fun, as you can see. Traditions like the parade and the tree-lighting ceremony really give Rehoboth that warm, "Hometown" feel, as opposed to the resort destination by which we are known by many in the summer. By the way, if you missed Santa in the parade, you can visit him in his house on the Boardwalk at the end of Rehoboth Avenue the next two weekends, Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. And if you're looking for (0 comments)
