The 19th Annual Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olypmpics took place Sunday, March 14 at Rehoboth Beach.  The Plunge was originally scheduled for early February, but one of the winter's blizzards made postponement necessary.  2,323 polar bears raised over $500,000 for this very special cause.  Governor Markell was among the plungers, and thousands of onlookers provided warm moral support for the braver participants.  For more information and photos, log onto http://www.plungede.org/.  (Just one more factoid...water temp.
