4TH OF JULY FESTIVITIES AT THE BEACH
LEWES EVENTS
9am - The Annual Old Fashioned 4th of July begins with kids' games and other fun on 2nd Street.
2pm - The 21st Annual Lewes Boat Parade sets sail at the Inlet on the Canal, travels to the Drawbridge and back.
5:00-ish - the Doodah Parade steps off behind Lloyd's Food Rite on Savannah Road, and proceeds through the streets of Lewes.
 

REHOBOTH BEACH EVENTS
8pm - The Chesapeake Silver Coronet Brass Band plays at the Bandstand

Coastal Delaware will be waving the flag and celebrating the red, white and blue from North to South this 4th of July weekend!
Kick off the fun with a visit to the Rehoboth Bandstand Thursday night at 8:00pm to enjoy and participate in the antics of Delaware Comedy Theater.  This improv show will provide spontaneous entertainment for the whole family.
Bethany Beach will hold its 25th Annual 4th of July Parade on Friday, July 3rd, beginning at High Noon.

parade: Thanksgiving Weekend in Rehoboth - 11/24/08 09:54 PM
Thanksgiving Weekend is the setting for several lovely holiday traditions in Rehoboth Beach, DE.  One of my favorites is the Caroling and Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, held on Friday night, 6:30, at the Bandstand.  Carols are sung, hearts are warmed and the evening culminates in the lighting of the town's tree.  Santa is in his cottage on the Boardwalk, ready to hear the wish lists of all, the lighted figures, also on the Boardwalk, are lit as well.  Friday kicks off the Christmas season for Rehoboth Beach, which feels a lot like Bedford Falls on this magical night.
