RALEIGH REAL ESTATE ~ 10 YEARS OF APPRECIATION - 11/21/11 08:09 PM

As this graph shows, Over the past 10 years, ups and downs in Wake County real estate prices have been relatively modest.  No big bubble -- no big bust.   Most people who bought residential real estate before 2006 are selling at or above what they paid, those who bought after 2006 are going to get less than they paid.  Admittedly, the percentages are cummulative and the numbers are large, so even these modest percentages can be a painful hit to the seller's wallet.

RALEIGH REAL ESTATE ~ WINNER OF THE HALLOWEEN DRAWING CONTEST - 11/20/11 10:30 AM
My Garden is my list of clients and friends; I mail at least monthly to about 200 familities.  This year I offered a prize to the winning Halloween drawing, open to children between six and twelve.
The 2011 winner is Makayla Chavis, age 11, who submitted her Halloween  crayon creation depicting a colorful Haunted Mansion with lots of spiders and a cross-eyed vampire! Makayla and her parents, Dana and Jay Chavis, will enjoy the Grand Prize of movie tickets and popcorn for their family.  The Chavises have been in the Garden since they bought their home in 2003.

Welcome! - 11/03/11 08:34 AM

Welcome to my North Raleigh Blog!  It will be devoted to all things to do with life in North Raleigh -- homes and neighborhoods, shopping, events, issues, and whatever else comes to my attention.  I've been living here very happily since 1995, and I've helped many clients find or sell homes in North Raleigh, too.  Not everyone wants to live in North Raleigh -- which is good!  There isn't room for everyone!  This blog is for us fortunate ones, and those who aspire to join us!
Onward!
