va home loans: ***Final Changes to the VA Funding Fees

Finally some good news for Veterans! On November 21, 2011, the President signed HR 674 which reduces the VA Funding Fees associated with VA Home Loans. This new fee structure will be in effect for loans closing after 11/22/2011 until 09/30/2016. This will help reduce costs for Veterans purchasing a home. Some good news! Keep in mind that the VA Funding Fee is waived for Veterans that are receiving at least 10% VA disability. Click this link for the funding fee chart.
