MEMORIAL DAY is intended to honor those who have given their all in service to our country.   It is a day of remembrance for those who have died in the service of our nation. 
 
 FLEUR DE LIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND CRAFT SHOW IN NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA ON MAY 29, 2010.
This indoor show features only handcrafted items - no imports or resales. The event is held in the new, modern Natchitoches Events Center. Approximately 70 booths will be available and the last six shows have been sellouts. Admission is free to the public.

   The Los Angeles Lakers won another game last night in this best of 7 games series against the Phoneix Suns.  They are leading this series 2 - 0.  The next game, I believe will be on Sunday in Phoneix.  I would love to see the Suns win some games and make this series competitive.   Although ultimately, I think the Lakers will take this series in a sweep of the Suns.
  The Boston Celtics are playing so good right now in the East.  They look really sharp.  My prediction is the Lakers and Celtics in the NBA finals.  … (4 comments)

Natchitoches (pronounced  NAK-ə-təsh) is a city in and the parish seat of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. 
   Established in 1714 by Louis Juchereau de St. Denis as part of French Louisiana, the community was named after the Natchitoches Indian tribe. The City of Natchitoches was first incorporated on February 5, 1819. It is the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase.  It is the home of Northwestern State University, founding as a normal school in 1884.  The Natchitoches meat pie is a regional dish from northern Louisiana. It is one of the official state foods of Louisiana.
