I know that the market appears down right now. A lot of people are saying it is a good time to buy a home and they are right. It is a great time to BUY a home... But what if you want or need to SELL your home?
There is a bright side to that as well.
1. Most home owners have been able to write off the interest they pay on their mortgage. This has been a little benefit that your home has given you that most forget all about until tax time.

Our team received a referral a few weeks back from a Windermere Agent in Renton. He has been a real pleasure to work with. We listed the house the couple is moving out of in LakeLand Village, Allyn, and he is the Agent representing them on the house they are purchasing in Issaquah.
Now that they have made an offer, and are currently negotiating, we are running papers back and forth to the Buyers living in Allyn so we can expedite their purchase. They do not use a home computer, and this is facilitating the sale effortlessly for them. When it comes … (5 comments)

I was reading my favorite blogs today, and I ran across my stat guy Richard Bell-The Real State of Real Estate. His stats and facts painted a much different picture than what the media is sharing. Interest rates are low and houses are a bargain.
It reminded me of the listing appointments I went on in 2005,& 2006. People were surprised by the amount of equity they had in their homes in just the few short years they owned them. I have had a very busy weekend showing homes and properties. After a very quiet week I am very excited. One is a first time home buyer, two are down from Canada and have already bought one vacation lot, and are looking for their next. The other is looking to invest.
When I asked them how they found me, they all stated the web(NowYouAreLiving.com, and Active Rain) and one mentioned direct mail. I plan to keep up on all of the advertising I am doing. It is really paying off.
