Over 1,200 trout planted in early April. They are about 11-13 inches long, have scales, and a wide eyed look. If you live in LakeLand Village head on down to the waterand see if you can spy one or two. They have been settling in and trying tofind the best hiding spots in the lake for the last few weeks.
Residents inLakeLand Village were given the green light to begin fishing April 13th andmany have been spotted on the docks taking full advantage of the opportunity.
On anothernote LakeLand Village has been doing an ample job of attracting ALL kinds ofwildlife … (8 comments)

wildlife: A Sweet thought... - 03/24/09 09:27 AM
Sometimes you just need a little dose of something sweet to keep your day on track. Mine has had it's challenges today.
Instead of going to the snack machine... I thought I would find a cute little picture to view as a pick me up.
This is a newborn fawn taken at Hartstene Pointe in Mason County. the island is loaded with wildlife and the Pointe is a great place to get to see it up close. if you would like a tour of the Pointe just give me a call at 360-551-8888 and ask for Dinah.

wildlife: On A Scale of 1-10... - 03/05/09 11:43 AM
How cute am I? I live at Harstene Point in Mason County. It is a gated community and the wildlife here is encouraged to hang out. You are not supposed to feed us, but I can tell you it happens... and I love it.
There is a lot to do here at the "Pointe." They have a pool with hot tub for soaking, miles of trails, a marina, fitness center, lagoon, tennis courts and fantastic views from just about anywhere of Mt. Rainer, the sound or Olympics.
They are not so keen on letting me in the pool or the tennis … (20 comments)
