So Far, Have Only Lost 1 Shoe and a Laptop Cord - 06/22/11 01:39 PM
A couple of months ago my family lost one of our beloved Shar-pei dogs. Boomer was a beautiful shar-pei that had been found running along side a freeway in the Dallas Fort Worth area, Texas, during a horrible thunderstorm, thus the name Boomer. We adopted him from the North American Shar-Pei Rescue organization, Texas division. Boomer, typical of the breed was an extremely loyal, lovable dog to his family and a great protector of our property. We had him for a short 5 years. My sweet Boomer died after a two month battle with degenerative disk disease. Not only did my (3 comments)

Damn Women Drivers! - 06/15/11 10:29 AM
During a home tour last week, I was reminded of a joke that I had received in the past, as the male driver (fellow broker) had a little road rage and in his road rage episode, says jokingly (but seriously), "Damn Woman Driver". See below.
This morning on the Interstate, I looked over to my left and there was a Woman, in a brand new Cadillac doing 65 mph, with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner. I looked away for a couple seconds... to continue shaving and when I looked (6 comments)
Can the Freeze-and-Thaw Method Clone Buyers & Sellers for Me? - 06/14/11 10:40 PM
According to http://news.xinhuanet.com, S. Korean scientists/researchers in Seoul, Koria at Jeju National University have cloned a cow with new freezing technology. Apparently they've managed to clone a black cow that had died three years ago with ultra-rapid freezing and thawing of eggs. This freeze-and-thaw technology will allow mass cloning of animals even after their death. DNA testing showed that the newly born cow has the same genetic blueprint as the original dead cow. The same researchers succeeded in cloning a bull that had died two years ago.
I was just dreaming, but wouldn't it be great to find those buyers and sellers (1 comments)

According to the Denton Record Chronicle, two women were injured Friday night by getting caught under a boat propeller in Lake Lewisville (Denton County, Texas).
Both women were swimming behind a boat parked at Sneaky Pete's. The women were dropped off by boat and then caught in the propeller as the boat driver was backing up. Boaters and lake enthusiasts...please be careful! (2 comments)

Stinky, Polluted Air Is More Serious Than You Might Think - 06/12/11 04:22 PM
Denton County has had the year's first air quality violation, in fact the highest concentration of ozone in the Dallas-Fort Worth area happened in Denton on June 6th. The gas that forms naturally in the ozone layer is produced in the lower atmosphere by the photochemical reaction of certain pollutants. Violations also occurred at monitoring stations in Frisco, Pilot Point, Keller and Grapevine, according to the Denton Record Chronicle.
Poor air quality and air attributes to approximately 4% of deaths in the U.S. according to the Harvard School of Public Health, so dirty air may be more serious than you think. (2 comments)
