Adding or Inviting Realtors In Active Rain

Ok, I see that you can add an associate on here, but I would like to actually network with some realtors on here around my area. How do suggest I do that. Is there a certain protocol, you follow, I know they have seen me, on here, which makes me figure their not interested. Again, some advice.

The Business/Self-Promotion Side of Home Staging

<!--                        -->

I just can't seem to figure out how to get material ready to show realtors. Do I make up some sheets of paper with why realtors need me (HA} with pictures of befores and afters. Do I make up brochures, thats expensive!! But I need something to give Realtors so they can give their clients. What is some tried and true methods from some of you that have been doing this a while. The realtors around here, think they are homestagers, because they read the emails from NAR. So they give homeowners a list of "to do's" and they think thats it. It's really going to be hard to get my foot in the door. And by the way, how do you do that, just cold call realtors? I need so experti advice, and I know its oozing here at active rain. I've learned so much already. It's not the staging part, its the business part, I'm lacking in. Hey, at least I'm honest.

Start-Up Info.

We just started a home staging business and wanted to know what kind of insurance we need. I was told gen.liablility, and be bonded too. I was also told to incorp. by using S-corp instead of an LLC. I'm so confused, but want to do things the right way, and dont want to be held liable if, something gets broken, or someone accuses us of theft etc. Can someone lead us in right direction. Is there a Insur. company you'd recommend.

Also, we are having trouble with consultation fees. We tried free consult. with written reports, in hopes of staging and that hasn't panned out. We mostly did it to get before and afters. Well, wev'e gotten befores but no afters. I don't think people will pay for a consultation around here, and I can't figure out a way around this. There has to be some tried and true methods. There are too many of you out there that are successful at it.

Can some of you help some homestagers in need??
