Roswell City Council Rejects Outdoor Go-Kart Track - 12/15/10 07:49 AM
The Roswell City Council has voted down a proposed outdoor go cart track by a margin of 5-0 during their meeting on Monday night. The track was to be built adjoining the Andretti Karting and Games building on Alpharetta Highway. Some of the issues involved in the opposition were the noise levels and distractions for drivers passing the facility. Opponents of the project state that these outdoor tracks are typically in a more Industrial or Heavy Commercial setting. Currently there is a rumbling regarding taking away the mortgage tax deduction from home ownership. Our beloved politicians will find yet another way to screw up our market. You have got to be kidding, RIGHT? This is the biggest benefit of ownership as far as I am concerned. Take that away and we might want to think about working the rental niche. It never ceases to amaze me about how "out of touch" our politicians are. What do they care, they have health insurance and a steady paycheck regardless.
