The Moose are Loose in Anchor Point Alaska
 
This weekend has been a Moose wonderful time in Anchor Point Alaska
 
I have been surrounded by moose...
 
The Momma Moose and her Twins...
 
And then another Moose with one Baby... very small and very aloof
But the Twins were not shy... they were fighting with my windmill...
 
Fighting over the drain pipe in the yard
 
Fighting over mom...
 
It was very fun to watch them... all the while Mom ate and ate

We had a pretty big earthquake the other day 6.7 on the Richter scale...
the center was out in the ocean... but it might have woke the mountain up
 
She was puffing pretty good this morning and has been steady all day... 
As long as it stays steam we are okay...
 
Hope it doesn't blow ash and ruin this beautiful Summer and Midnight Sunsets!

A Moment in Homer Alaska

The other day I was out taking pictures of a new listing... they had horses and they were all brushed and shiny
I came back into town and was driving on the what we call the bypass road... which would make most people laugh... it is technically highway 1 but it is 2 lanes going through town to the Spit... anyway.... I caught a glimpse of something and I thought it was a horse on the highway...but no it was a big shiny moose...  I turned around and saw that it was head down towards the inlet … (12 comments)

The July 4th Parade in Homer Alaska was A lot of Fun! We had some great floats and people lined up all up and down the street to see the participants.
The Homer Chamber and the Homer Police are to be thanked for all the hard work! The Star Spangled Banner was sang by a young girl with a powerful voice!
Tim White did a great Job as the MC and Scott Connelly the Land Man set up the Sound System with Chip Duggan's Help!

Hoka Hey has arrived! Motorcycle riders from everywhere signed up for the big race from Key West Florida to Homer Alaska! The say there are over 110 in town right now! More on the Way!

Can you imagine? What a wild ride!  Men and Women have traveled the some 8,000 miles to arrive in Homer Alaska just in time for the 4th of July Celebration.

There are many changes this year... the Parade usually is at 6 and it is at 2
They are coming from all directions but not from the high school as usual
 
Staging will be done in many areas and Heath Street Will be closed for 1:30pm till the parade is done
 
The only constant in all of this is the Judging is at Bay Realty
 
So gather round and be ready for the thrills and laughs and Homers Own Putting on the 4th!
