Dear fellow active rain members, I have a question I'm sure someone here can answer for me. I have a friend who allowed her fiancé to purchase a couple of investment properties in her name & with her credit.
To make a long story short, the homes are now in foreclosure. I put one of the houses on the market to see if we could short sale it, but we've recently found out that the fiancé had the deeds switched out of her and name without her knowledge.

Is there a difference between a good “listing” and “just having a house on the market.” I would have to say “yes.” Having a good listing means having a
home that is reasonably priced for the on-going market. If the home is priced too high (especially in this market) the chances of it selling are weakened.
On the other hand, if the home is priced too low, then the home owners may be left thinking they could have received more for their home.

With all that's going on today, wall street crashing, gas prices rising (although lately they have been coming down), and all the foreclosures affecting various markets, I hear even Jack O' Lantern is taking a hit too. Due to weather conditions in certain areas, pumpkins used for craving during this festive time of year will be scarce.
Luckily for my 2 youngest (Jordyn & Jaden), along with my 2 God-children (Cj & Simone) they were able to get their slim pickings at the Hillsboro Farm's Pumpkin Patch last weekend. They enjoyed hayrides, a blow-up haunted house, and some good old running … (3 comments)

Last Sunday was family day at Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield, NJ. My wife was a part of the committee that put together the weekend long service that turned out to be a wonderful fun-filled family event.
It was a fun game of “Family Feud” Friday evening, family prayer on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., then Family Day service on Sunday.

Does absence make the heart grow fonder? It sure seemed to cause my phone to ring off the hook when my family & I left for a 2 week vacation. As soon as we headed south for a week in Hilton Head Island, SC & a week in Ocean Isle Beach, NC my phone started ringing before we got of the NJ Turnpike.

After Big Brown's disappointing last place finish at the Belmont, I'm sure there are plenty of horse-racing fans that have come to that very same conclusion.
