foreclosures in atlanta: Mortgage Fraud - 09/03/07 08:47 PM
I was just thinking to day about the sub-prime mortgage market today, and thought about mortgage fraud. I was wondering what the percentage of morgages are written on false information given by clients. Fudgin numbers and documents is illegal. I wonder if anyone knows any facts or data to back up my thinking. I know here in the Georgia Real Estate market foreclosures in Atlanta are on the rise and are near the top of the list in the nation.

foreclosures in atlanta: Foreclosure Help in Atlanta - 02/19/07 09:43 AM
A 24 hour, 7 days a week hotline has been announced to assist Georgia homeowners avoid foreclosure. The program, called HOPE, will also offer face to face counseling to Georgians who may be at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure. This program announcement comes on the heels of a report that places Atlanta's 2006 foreclosure total at 63,737 homes, 4.4% of the city's households, which is 2nd highest in the country among major metro areas.
