Salem Virginia Palin Rally - 10/30/08 05:40 PM
I went to see Sarah Palin Monday Oct. the 27th in Salem, VA and wanted to share some of the photos I took.  Our Republican Governor, Senator & Delegate nominees spoke prior to her being introduced.  A native of Staunton, VA, Jimmy Fortune (singer with the Statler Brothers) sang Pretty Women just prior to her coming on stage, which was pretty cool and when she walked out they played Dolly Parton's Working 9 to 5, which set the stage.  It was a good rally and brought in 15,000 people. I was approx. 8 people deep standing on the football field. Some of the … (2 comments)

Battle Hymn of the Republic - 10/27/08 11:10 AM
Get a load of these high school kids singing and playing their band instruments.  At the conclusion listen closely to the high notes on the trumpet, played by a high school student.  One of the fathers at the concert recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web.  While the most historic race for the white house looms, let us not forget what is important!
The song, of course, is the 'Battle Hymn Of The Republic.'

The Post American World by Barry Obama - 10/27/08 09:33 AM
I keep getting emails from my Mother about the campaign. Some are not worth passing along and some are. The Post American World is being read by Mr. O. The POST American World....What are you trying to say Mr. Obama?
I don't think Obama does anything by chance or by mistake (well beside the Joe the Plumber bumble) so getting off a plane with this book in hand is a statement.  Just more fuel for the fire!  You decide...

Yes America, associations matter! - 10/16/08 10:20 AM
Isaid I was going to quite getting upset with the craziness of the campaign. But I have heard so many comments that it's ALL about the economy, not old associations of Obama. Of course the economy matters, that's why Obama look so appealing to those who desperately want change, their willing to believe whatever he says. But it is not ALL about the economy. That's crazy!! When the economy rebounds & you take off your blinders, what do you see with Obama?
Associations matter & we all know it!  If they don't then some of the Obama fans need to tell me about all of the terrorist associations you have. How … (0 comments)

Bumper Stickers to watch for! - 10/12/08 05:29 PM
These were sent to me by a 72 year old lady. I spoke with her the other day and she asked if I would run down to the republican head quarters and get her a sign for her yard. When I took it to her, she was telling me what fun she was having "playing" on the internet. This is one of the emails I received that I thought I would share. Their just in fun!

Fruity Pebbles - 10/11/08 01:50 PM
I wanted to share some profound wisdom from my child :)
When my son was small one of our favorite fall pass times was to take rides on Sunday afternoon. We would go to Giles to pick apples at the orchard near Mountain Lake, or get a bucket of KFC and ride to Floyd Co. From there, we would hop on the Blueridge Parkway, go to Mabry's Mill & watch them make maple syrup then ride down to Nancy's candy company in the Meadows of Dan for pumpkin fudge. Such a wonderful relaxing day. It became something we looked forward to each year.

Obama graduated Harvard, Bush graduated Yale! - 10/05/08 09:11 AM
Obama is smarter than Palin!! So what??
Everyone keeps saying Obama is sooo smart & graduated Harvard. Of course he's smart, HELLO.....he graduated Harvard!  But does anyone remember that Bush graduated Yale?  He's smart as well but his critics perception is that he is dumb.  Bush is NOT dumb...he graduated Yale!  What is the difference in these 2 mens educational background?  If anything, Bush had more experience before entering into the Presidential race.
How is the argument litigimate that Obama is inexperienced but he's smart & graduated Harvard against Palin being inexperience but she didn't go an Ivy League school?  I think what people need to … (12 comments)

3 Minute Chocolate Coffee Cup Cake - 10/04/08 07:15 AM
I've included a link (*See Mrs. Clous' Kitchen below) and a quick little recipe for those with smaller children & grand children. I have a 22 yr. old (& no Grandchildren) and still make it!  This is a great recipe for those who want something sweet & quick.  It's really good with chocolate syrup drizzled over it and sitting atop a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

4 T flour (plain not self rising)
4 T sugar
2 T baking cocoa
 1 egg
3 t milk
3 t oil
