fun: 1st snow of winter 2009 - 12/05/09 05:12 PM
We woke up this morning to the 1st snow of the season in anticipation of 3-4" and it delivered!! This photo was taken around 8:30am.  The flakes were so large, they looked like feathers falling from the sky. It fell until around 4:00pm and then stopped. Of course the ground and road is so warm, nothing stuck (on the road at least) but it is nice to see the Christmas lights bounce off of the white snow.
Now tomorrows temps. is supposed to be in the 40's.  Good bye snow for now....but it'll be back...ole man winter promises!!

fun: Fun & useless information - 08/14/09 01:30 PM
Fun & useless information that is quite fascinating:
In the 1400's a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb. Hence we have "the rule of thumb" Many years ago in Scotland , a new game was invented. It was ruled "Gentlemen Only...Ladies Forbidden"...and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.  The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone. Every day more money is printed for Monopoly than the U.S.Treasury. Men can read smaller … (0 comments)

fun: 3 Minute Chocolate Coffee Cup Cake - 10/04/08 07:15 AM
I've included a link (*See Mrs. Clous' Kitchen below) and a quick little recipe for those with smaller children & grand children. I have a 22 yr. old (& no Grandchildren) and still make it!  This is a great recipe for those who want something sweet & quick.  It's really good with chocolate syrup drizzled over it and sitting atop a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
1 Coffee Mug (I use a Longaberger mug because they are somewhat larger & stoneware)
4 T flour (plain not self rising)
4 T sugar
2 T baking cocoa
 1 egg
3 t milk
3 t oil

fun: Enjoying life's ride! - 09/26/08 07:40 PM
I've been blogging and reading about politics and real estate and clients and all of life's problems for so long that I just want to have some fun!  Sometimes we get to serious!
Below is a photo of the "coolest" person (yes a person, because he doesn't know he's a dog and we don't tell him, so I trust you'll keep our secret) that you could ever meet. I posted this photo on another blog and I have it sitting in my formal living room in a very ornate frame. It draws alot of attention, second glances and comments...as it should...he's is very handsome! Someone … (6 comments)
