Rattlesnake Encounter - Too Close To Home - 10/26/08 04:05 PM
"There it was, on the patio, not 10 feet from the back door..." Dear Neighbor, I'm your neighbor over on Ridgecrest, in the Weatherstone neighborhood of Highlands Ranch, Colorado in a house backing to open space. I thought you might be interested in this: The day it arrived was a sunny August day right before Labor Day. Not too hot, but definitely warm. Mid-afternoon, I had just gotten home and had about a half hour to return phone calls before some clients arrived. I let Julie out in the back yard. She is a Golden Retriever and loves to watch the construction

Early Voting in Castle Rock, Colorado - 10/26/08 03:02 PM
Last election, regular voting was mess in Castle Rock, Colorado. Waiting, lines, delays, etc. Will it be better this time? Who knows so if you don't want to find out the hard way, vote early. I voted early in Lone Tree. And you can to in Castle Rockat the early voting site: Philip S. Miller Library, 100 S. Wilcox St., Castle Rock, CO It was a breeze. No lines, no crowds, no waiting. Another thing to consider is that it is a huge ballot, there are many amendments to vote against. Early voting will be available there this week Monday through

Are you listening? - 10/24/08 06:33 PM
I've been thinking about the things that we really need to 'get right' in our business in this new environment of economic chaos. One of the big ones on the list is listening. It's critical to make sure we are listening for what is really important to our customers. Sometimes this involves a bit of 'reading between the lines'. Frequently our clients don't even know themselves what is really important to them. If asked, they will have some answers that make sense and might look good on paper, but I find these can be just surface answers that don't begin to

Vote early - beat the rush - 10/24/08 01:33 PM
Remember the fiasco of regular voting last time? Did you know you can vote early? I'm not talking about the absentee mail in ballot, though that is a good way to go too. In our area, and I assume most places, you can vote earlier than general election. If you don't live near me, do a google search on 'early voting my-location' and chances are you will find the locations and hours that it is available. Highlands Ranchers can vote early at Westridge Rec. Center, 9650 S Foothills Cyn. Bvld. in Highlands Ranch. I just did and it was soooo much

Investment properties getting bid way up in Denver - 10/23/08 06:52 PM
Back in the summer (2008), you could find quality investment properties at low prices and pretty much be assured of getting a full price offer accepted. Lately, we been getting regularly outbid on cash offers. Sometimes our investors have bid as much as 10% over asking and are still getting outbid. Amazing - that's sure not what you would expect listening to the national media. David - http:/www.PremierDenverHomes.com
