AUSTIN (San Antonio Express-News) - Gov. Rick Perry has signed legislation banning private transfer fees attached to home purchases, the San Antonio Express-News reported yesterday.
Such fees throw a percentage of a home's sale price back to the original developer each time the home is sold.
Under the new legislation, new private transfer fees will not be allowed. Developers who have existing fees on properties must file a notice of the obligation in county property records by Jan. 31, 2012, and update it every three years. If they fail to meet this requirement, the transfer fee is void.

In a previous piece, the question was whether or not concealed carry of firearms was addressed in the office policy manual. While there was some interest in the topic, there was not the response hoped for. So let us try another angle.
How many brokers out there even have an office policy manual in-place for their agents?? Simple enough.

The Multiple Listing Service or MLS is a marketing tool. Why then, do soooo many real estate professionals use it as only a step in the process when listing a home?
What my point is, too many agents just throw something on the MLS sheet, probably because they are excited about their new listing, and not give a thought to how it will be received by others. You all know what I mean. How many times have we seen an MLS sheet with one or two sentences describing the property in the meager of ways?

Well it has been said to be organized is a positive in business. That would include keeping a good calendar. There is no one to blame but myself. It is my responsibility to keep track of my appointments. Never be in a hurry. Haste makes waste and all that. Don't want to sound like a cry baby here. Why should there be any tears when a showing is exactly what we all work so hard for. Doing out thing for the client. We are servants after all. Service before self. Doing what we get paid for.
