BabyHarris2 Update - Over Freakin' Due!! - 11/29/10 03:08 PM
Thank you for all the emails asking if everything is ok. I know I haven't been blogging for the past couple of weeks and that has people on pins and needles. NO, there is no baby yet. However, I'm hoping there will be one by this time tomorrow! I developed a condition called SPD which means my leg has basically disconnected from my pelvic bone. I've been in lots and lots of pain for the past 3 weeks. It's very hard to walk. It's very hard to get up from a sitting position. My doctor suggested inducing. She's been out of (12 comments)
Stucco Home Details - New Construction Homes - 11/29/10 10:58 AM
Have you ever wondered how the details on Stucco homes are created? You might be a little amazed. I had no idea until recently when I was actually watching carefully on how some of the homes around me were being built. Here is a picture of what the final detail looks like so you know what I'm referencing.
You can clearly see the fancy details around the windows and framing area, as well as a couple of feet off the ground. Looks like it would be complicated to get it all semetrical, right? Here's a picture showing what it really (4 comments)

Many of you remember me blogging while in the hospital when she was born. Those are some great memories! I hope you'll stick around to see what happens in the next few days with BabyHarris2. No, we don't have a name yet!! Here is a conversation I had with Alyssa a few days ago: Me: Can the baby come yet? Alyssa: Am I three yet? Me: No. Alyssa: The baby can't come (16 comments)
The City of Lakeway - Austin TX - Annexing 1000 Acres - 11/08/10 09:00 PM
The City of Lakeway TX, just West of Austin, is planning on annexing approximately 1000 acres over the next ten years. You're thinking, "That's a lot of land!" Yes, it is, however, much of that land is already currently under construction with most of it going to single family homes, condos and townhomes. Here's a map of the plan...
As you can see, The City of Lakeway has decided to stay away from moving South of Highway 71 and also into an area bordering Spicewood that is more acreage and more of a "ranching culture" than what Lakeway's city perception (2 comments)
Austin TX Home Builders - New Construction Homes - Covering Up a Potential Problem? - 11/08/10 11:27 AM
Building a New Construction home can be a good experience, or it can be a frustrating experience. It almost depends on how much of the process you see and pay attention to. Many people building a home very rarely stop by the house to check on it and see the progress. Others like to visit at least once a week and give the builder a list of issues each time. A few months ago, I posted about a house being built across the street from me and how the plumbing was protruding through the slab that was poured. I really thought (5 comments)
This blog is to help educate Buyers, Sellers and even other Realtors across the country. Each market is different and the way Real Estate is done is different. Austin Real Estate is completely different than Dallas, California and Florida and everywhere else in between. Some times there will be other things besides real estate as I like to rant and rave as much as the next!! Come back often!
