This weekend, I decided to do something new and exciting. Some of my friends in Dallas discovered this new craze called Painting with a Twist. I looked them up online, and they have an Austin location, so I signed up. What is Painting with a Twist? It's a place where they walk you through painting a picture. You have to go to their Calendar to see what the picture is for the day you want to go, and then everyone in the room paints the same thing. Happy BIrthday to the BEST little boy in the world. Today, Landon is 1 already! Can you believe it? This time last year, I was in the hospital with an 8 1/2 pound bundle of joy, and that little bundle is now 24 pounds and is about to break my arm every time I pick him up!
Time didn't go this quickly with my first. I'm not sure why time goes faster when you have more than one.

donna harris: Landon Finally Found his Feet and is Walking - Video - 11/22/11 10:30 AM
Landon rolled over at the same time Alyssa did. Landon sat up a month before Alyssa did. Landon crawled a couple of weeks before Alyssa did... I assumed Landon would walk well before Alyssa did because he was cruising the furniture for months and months. Most babies only cruise for a month or a few weeks, but Landon cruised for about 4 months.
Alyssa walked 2 days before she turned 11 months. Landon finally took a few steps on Nov 15, at 11 months and 15 days.

A couple of months ago, I realized Alyssa and Landon looked an awful lot alike, and I was astonished. I mean, Alyssa is a beautiful little girl, so how could a handsome little boy look like her?
Mike asked if I would be able to tell them apart if he cropped out only faces. Of course I could! He asked me why I thought so, and I said, "Because I'm their Mother!"

Landon turned 6 months old on May 30th. The time is going by so much faster than with Alyssa. His official stats from his appointment yesterday are: 16 lbs 13.5 oz and 27 1/4 inches tall. At 6 months for Alyssa, she was only a mere 14 lbs 7.5 oz and 25 1/4 inches... He is definitely a boy!

Thank you for all the emails asking if everything is ok. I know I haven't been blogging for the past couple of weeks and that has people on pins and needles.
NO, there is no baby yet. However, I'm hoping there will be one by this time tomorrow!
I developed a condition called SPD which means my leg has basically disconnected from my pelvic bone. I've been in lots and lots of pain for the past 3 weeks. It's very hard to walk. It's very hard to get up from a sitting position.

I just looked at the clock and realized what time it was. Three years ago today, at 9:54am, my beautiful Alyssa was born!! Yes, the time has flown by!

donna harris: BabyHarris2 Update - Week 19 - Is it a Boy or a Girl? - 07/08/10 04:35 PM
Today as been a roller coaster of emotions, and I'm sure the ride isn't over yet as the news sinks in... BabyHarris2 had its anatomy scan this morning weighing in at a whopping 10 oz.
The baby is healthy. The placenta is anterior meaning it's in front of the uterus and on top of the cervix... too much info? Basically, this means I have to go back in 10 weeks for another scan to see if the issue corrected itself or I'm in for a world of pain and complications as the baby gets bigger.

BabyHarris2 update. This is week 17. My fingers have been crossed that all the previous complications I went through are now long behind me and the rest of the 23 weeks will be drama-free. At week 17, I now have some energy back. I'm not running marathons or anything, but I'm not sleeping on the couch at 2 in the afternoon either. The baby should be about 5 inches long. Can you believe it?? I'm 2 years old today!! Many of you were around when my mommy was pregnant, and she kept you posted about me even while in labor at the hospital. Back in the day, I was known as BabyHarris, but now I'm known as Alyssa Nicole Harris.I'm writing this today because she's in denial. She can't believe two years have already gone by.Seriously, compare me 2 years ago to the me today... I was tiny at just over 7 pounds, and now I'm a big girl at a whopping 26 pounds!
