I missed my 5 year Anniversary with Active Rain. If this were an exclusive relationship, I would bet AR would be issuing a guilt trip about that!! It was June 26, 2006 that I wrote my first post on my blog. On the Success Panel At Raincamp in Dallas last month, Bob asked me what my very first post was, and I guessed. Well, I just looked it up and my guess was right! It was "Pre-Qualified verse Pre-Approved" and it got a whopping 4 comments! It even took 8 months to get those 4 comments!! Raincamp Dallas 2011 is in full swing. Today is day two at CityPlace. We had lunch up on the 42nd floor again, but this year it was extremely hazey.
Yesterday, we learned a lot, but it was also a lot of review stuff that was already known, at least by me...Two big things learned was that ActiveRain has huge Domain Dominance. Activerain.com has 2.6 times more linkage than Realtor.com. That's huge!! Why would I want to pay those ridiculous fees that Realtor.com wants to charge us.

ActiveRain's RainCamp came to Dallas TX back in mid-February. At that time, I (we) were given many great and new technology ideas to use in our businesses. The first thing I talked about was Klout.com. Klout tracks your "popularity" on Twitter. I went from a rating of 10 up to 21 in just a couple of weeks. Great tool as it got me to mingle more with people I don't know. On to something new... I downloaded State from xtranormal.com. REBAR CAMP - Real Estate Bar Camp - Austin TX at Third Base on 6th street was last week. I met a lot of new people as well as saw old friends.
This was my first experience with a REBar Camp, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was told this was a little unusual this time around. There were five sessions, three groups at a time. What is your Klout? Do you know? I thought my Klout was strong...
At Raincamp Dallas TX 2010, one of the tools we learned about was Klout.com. Your Klout score can range from 1-100 and it uses your Twitter username to look you up. It's a calculation of someone's sphere of influence and how much interaction there is between you and your followers on Twitter. Yikes... I'm not following many people, but I have a lot of followers. Raincamp, Raincamp... What can be said about ActiveRain's Raincamp that was put on in Dallas TX a couple of days ago? WOW!! I was blown away, and I'm not one to get blown away with things like this. I usually like to sit with my arms crossed saying, "What an idiot! No one does that these days to help their real estate businesses..." as that's exactly what was I saying when I stupidly sat at a Craig Proctor seminar for two hours the day before.
