With the inclement weather we had last week, the annual HOA meeting for the Woods of SpringCreek community in Richardson, TX was canceled. The meeting has been rescheduled for February 12, 2009 at 7-8:30pm.
If you cannot come, you must resign a proxy as the previous proxies are now out of date. Let me know if you need a proxy form, or you can get one from your block captain.

After months of talking about this relocation to Austin, TX, we finally put our house on the market. What an ordeal!! I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more. Whenever I was finished with one room, "someone" would make a mess again and it would have to be cleaned again.
I took 180 pictures yesterday in order to get enough pictures for the virtual tour and still photos for the MLS. Then, my listing agent also came over and took some pictures. I'm not sure how many he took.

This Year's TEXAS' National Night Out is being held tomorrow, October 7, 2008. Yes, the rest of the country already held their National Night Out, however, Texas is always different. Because of the HOT HOT weather in Texas, they finally allowed us to postpone our National Night Out to a cooler month so more people would attend.
Richardson, TX won again last year for population 30-100k. Let's see if we'll win this year. My neighborhood, The Woods of SpringCreek, have many activities planned again, but different than last year.

My community, Woods of SpringCreek in Richardson, TX finally received the turnabout they've been talking about for years. Telecom was a dead-end street, but it was never finished off because the plans were to make it a through street.
With enough support from the homeowners, we convinced the City of Richardson to not allow it to be a through street and to keep the traffic away from our small, quiet community. They then agreed to connect two different streets in order to make traffic flow from Plano into Richardson, Los Rios and North Star.

There is a house one street over from me. It first went up for sale in July 2005. I remember this because that's when my husband and I were looking at houses because the seller on the house we were buying was trying to back out and we needed a backup place just in case.
The house, shown here, was very plain and not what we were looking for. We wanted one of the "WOW" houses in the neighborhood, not one of the ones that neighbors wished weren't next to theirs.

Don't forget about this year's Home Owner's Association meeting for the Woods of SpringCreek. It's Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00pm and Canyon Creek. If you cannot make the meeting, you must submit your proxy for consideration.
Things we'll review are the budget, Telecom landscaping, and our new Social Groups that have been very popular.

The Woods of SpringCreek in Richardson TX are having their annual HOA meeting on Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00-8:30pm. It is being held at Canyon Creek on North Star.
If you are unable to attend, you must have your Proxy form signed and turned into your street captain by Monday, February 11 so you can be counted.

The Woods of SpringCreek in Richardson TX are having their next Girls Night Out on Thursday, February 7 at 6:30pm at a neighbor's house (I will not post her address to keep the crazies away). If you're interested in attending, please contact me and I'll get you the information.
At Thursday's event, each guest has been requested to bring a pair of red socks for a small gift exchange.

Just a reminder that The Woods of SpringCreek is having their annual HOA meeting Tuesday, February 13 at 7:15pm. It's at Canyon Creek off Renner and North Star.
If you are unable to make it, you should fill out the proxy form and send it to Excel Management... or you can drop it off at a neighbor's and one of us would be happy to turn it in for you.
I'm looking forward to meeting all the new neighbors from the past year, and catching up with others that I haven't seen since the National Night Out in August.
