Here are 10 benefits that will come your way too, when you decide to collaborate with a home stager. 1. Improve your product packaging. It's a competitive market out there. professional home stager: The End of Another Year – Time to Take Stock. - 12/15/09 08:11 PM
Well my home stager and realtor friends, another year is behind us once again. Hopefully, it's been a fruitful one, and you and your business have moved forward. So what does that mean - move forward? Well, chances are your idea of moving forward is different to mine. For many I suspect it basically boils down to the number of clients you've served compared to previous years. Whilst maintaining and increasing your client base, is part of growing your business it's not everything. Just like you, a successful business is not one dimensional. Have you ever done a stock take of

professional home stager: 20 Lessons from a Professional Home Stager – Part 2 - 11/30/09 01:21 AM
No matter where you are in the world, getting a property ready for the ‘for sale market' market has evolved. Thanks in no small part to the internet; house hunters are now savvier than ever. It's the internet that allows home buyers to see a whole lot more of their local property market. Gone are the days of would-be buyers traipsing from one property to another, using just a few agencies/agents to assist them. Today, the real estate pool is much, much larger. It's far easier for house hunters these days to separate ‘for sale' property's into the definitely not's or

professional home stager: Shhhh; Here’s a quick way to choose the right decorative accessories for any room. - 11/27/09 09:17 PM
It's the little things, those small, decorative touches that can really finesse a room. As a home stager/property stylist I find decorative accessories, tabletop decorations, knick knacks, bric-a-brac, or whatever it is you like to call them, to be one of the most useful and successful ways to add interest to the ‘for sale' property. I know that for many home owners, choosing the right accessories is a bit of a hit and miss affair. It even gets a tad risky if/when you're trying to sell your home. As a professional home stager/re-designer I don't simply rely on 'smoke and mirrors' to add the

professional home stager: The Eye of a Home Stager (aka Property Stylist) - 11/19/09 08:21 PM
Heard of home staging (called property styling or property presentation here in Australia)? Yes? No? If not, don't worry you're not alone. It's a fairly new concept to many in the real estate scene. It's the process of re-decorating a home to sell. I should point out, that I do mean sell. Staging is not about redecorating, and then staying forever more. Having your house staged or styled, is all about re-packaging a product (in this case, the ‘for sale' property) for the mass market. Where you've used your own ‘decorating eye' - or maybe the eyes of an interior designer,

professional home stager: Stagers - do you have your fee schedule on your website? - 11/18/09 12:20 AM
Hello again to my stager friends. I have a dilemna. I'm considering putting my fee schedule on my website. I'm just not sure if it's the way to go or not. I know some stagers put their fee schedules on their website and some don't. What are the pros and cons? Any ideas or thoughts? I'd appreciate your feedback.

professional home stager: Spell out the value of your service with these keywords - 11/05/09 11:50 PM
Hello again. It's a cool Friday afternoon here on the usually sunny Central Coast of NSW. I've just returned from picking up my young son from school. But before I left I had just begun jotting down a few keywords I can use to help me, help a prospective client see not just my fees, but the value in the service I provide. As a professional home stager (or any other service business), the key to us getting a new client or project is showing how the value of the service we provide towers over our fee. So, I'm making a bullet point list of
