If you haven't heard Lindenwood College has two big names coming to town in September.
The first is Liza Minnelli and she will be in concert on September 11th and 12th and
The second will be Hal Holbrook as Mark Twain on September 20th .

On September 20th we will entertained by Starship starring Mickey Thomas. For those of you that may not know this band let me help you. They evolved from two of the most influential bands in the history of rock and roll, Jefferson Starship by way of Jefferson Airplane. Sunday night was the last night for the 2008 Olympics and now we are on to something else. With the last beat of the drums, the last song sang, the Olympic flag was passed off to London and all of the athletes have been able to take their last bow. It was a great time and one very good venue.

St. Charles County Mo has two days to take a visit to the past. Today and tomorrow, Aug. 23rd and Aug. 24th, folks can take a trip to St. Charles County Smartt Airport. While you are there you will airplanes from the WWII era. While I was there today the first aircraft I saw was C-47, one workhorse of an aircraft and used many times after WWII. You will see a B-25 and various other planes with a history.

St Charles Mo held their annual Frontier Days Festival last weekend and from all reports it was another success. The weather really cooperated better than it had in past years, in the upper 80's and no rain in sight. Can you believe that for August? There was something for everybody not only in Frontier Park by the Missouri River but also on Main Street. I could probably write a dozen blogs about Michael Phelps and all of his accomplishments in the 2008 Olympics and there are many. He won 8 gold medals, more than any other athlete in the history of the Games. He set 7 world records in the process and this is all good and worthy. St. Charles County Mo is still growing and with the addition of a new Wingate Inn by Wyndham shows that this is still a great area to build in.
This new hotel is about 85% completed and is scheduled to open around November 1, 2008.

The Meadows at Lake Saint Louis is a $33 million lifestyle shopping center that will be celebrating their grand opening this Saturday, August 23, 2008.
In the initial phase, The Meadows will comprise approximately 260,000 sq. ft. of retail space in four buildings. There will be about 30 stores with most of them being "upscale" merchandisers included in this initial phase.

Festival of the Little Hills
Every year rain or shine the Festival of the Little Hills is held in St. Charles MO. For three days where are vendors selling their wares, food, bands, play area for the kids and so much more. This event is held in Frontier Park as well as Main Street St. Charles. The hours for this fun event are Friday night 8/15 from 4pm - 10pm, Saturday 8/16 from 9:30am - 10pm and Sunday 8/17 from 9:30am - 5pm.

2004 was the last normal real estate market that St. Charles County MO has seen.
We started the year of 2008 with 13 months of housing inventory; this includes both the residential single family market and the condo/villa market. As of the end of July 2008, we had 8.5 months of combined inventory. This sounds to me like we are still moving forward, maybe at a snail’s pace; but we are moving in the right direction.
