To Vaca or Not That is the Question (Part 4 of 5)......... If you haven't figured it out yet St. Charles County, MO and St. Louis City/County, MO offers more than just the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues. There are loads of parks, walking trails, bike trails, casinos and history too. And there are other things to do too. To Vaca or Not That is the Question……… With gas prices constantly moving up and down, mostly UP! Not to mention other prices doing the same, it is hard for some to even consider taking a get-a-way vacation. If you are new to the area or maybe you are a home body like me and just don’t get out, you may not know of places around the Greater St. Charles, MO area. For residents of the City of St. Louis, the Katy Trail offers a great day trip. The Katy Trail is a bike/walking trail that starts in St. Charles, travels along the Missouri River passing such towns as Defiance, Augusta, Dutzow, Marthasville, and Herman, and ends in Clinton for a one way trip of 225 miles.
