The Zoom Expert presenter for our Tuesday Zoom Meeting Ken Jones was enlightening! I decided before his presentation to listen to a podcast from his “The Ken Jones Real Estate Show.” I listened to Closing the Sale starts at Hello which was a spirited, interesting and informative podcast. I was surprised he hates the term closing! What..I love closings..but I learned he doesn’t like how it’s used because it tends to refer to the end of a transaction. He is right closing doesn’t mean the end ….it means the process of finding people who are willing to sell or buy and qualifying … (21 comments)

What a cold, wet, dreary week-end in Austin! Hoping to see some sunshine towards the end of the week. The bright spot was Geno was able to come home from the hospital and we celebrated his birthday Saturday morning with a breakfast taco party with the kids! Balloons, cards and many hugs were in order to help him celebrate his 81st Birthday.
Its Valentine's Day this week so glad to have Geno home to feel the love!
The Austin ISD school calendars are out for the 2019-20. Here are the changes.

What a great week-end..clear, blue skies and lots of sun....my kind of weather. Showed a house to one of my buyers and we submitted an offer in a multiple offer situation..we will know later today the outcome. Enjoyed getting Geno out Saturday night for dinner and to meet son and family for Sunday lunch. A good time to show Geno son's new office building completed! Wow..after three long years "Juice Homes" opened their doors at their new digs! So proud!!!

Couldn't ask for a better week-end! Warm sunny weather, a great open house Saturday (daughter Melissa held one too) with my condo going under contract! Dinner with great friends at a fun restaurant (be sure and read this weeks Foodie Friday) and a good day celebrating Father's Day!

From the sales counselor, Jeannie Burton, to the superintendent, both were easy, affable and paid attention to my clients concerns.

This weekend has been darn right cold! Friday my buyers came to terms on an offer submitted earlier in the week. Friday night we celebrated Geno's birthday with family and friends at our local Mesa Rosa Restaurant Mexican style! So much fun and laughter..good for the soul! Saturday many of the family came to watch Hudson play flag football and all froze in the cold wet weather! He came away with a medal for sportsmanship and 2 touchdowns so was worth it! Sunday met my buyer out at the house they won the offer on to do some measuring..all good!

Handsome Hudson is playing flag football! At five there are many members on the team wanting to learn. I love Hudson and his dad watching his teammates and being present in the game even when not on the field playing.
It's a time to learn about sportsmanship and working together. I love the coaches view and how they are addressing the sport. Playing with integrity and being supportive of all members is stressed which is so true of so many things in life, not just sports.
It's so often believed that it takes a man to raise a boy to be a man.....Unknown

The night before Gene's surgery on his elbow, December 6th he slipped his wedding ring off and gave it to me to keep for him. I was going to put it on my necklace so I could take it off easily after his surgery so he could put it back on. Instead I put it on my index finger because I was busy getting dinner ready to set on the table and putting the last finishing touches on our Christmas tree. As I was finishing eating I glanced down and realized no ring on my finger!

Handsome Hudson turns five in September missing the date to enter Kindergarten but he moved up the beginning of the week to his new pre kindergarten class at his Montessori school. What a glorious week-end! Weather was fabulous...sunny and blue skies. I held a wonderful open house culminating with a full price cash offer! I wrote an offer for a client and won the bid in a multiple offer. ..Yahoo!!Date night with Geno to celebrate...watching the sunset at Gumbo's on Lake Travis! Breakfast at Snooze on Father's Day with the kids & grand-kids and relaxing Sunday afternoon with pool time.
