Like so many across the world, we are celebrating Earth Day at our office building, “Plaza One” at the Arboretum from 9 am - 11am. This annual event held today on April 22, 2024 demonstrates support for environmental protection. Vendors will be on hand to accept recycled items. This year the theme for World Earth day centers on Planet vs. Plastics to bring thoughtfulness to the serious issue of plastic pollution and how it harms our environment. The Arboretum Plaza in NW Austin is collecting donations for its Shoe Drive benefiting Soles4Souls! There are 2 buildings Plaza One and Plaza Two located in this complex. My office is in Plaza Two and we support these drives as a way of paying it forward. Did you know every year hundreds of thousands of shoes are thrown away, clogging our landfills? This year instead of throwing away your old shoes, donate them to Soles4Souls! Footwear can help eliminate the spreading of diseases through the foot as well as help children obtain an education, as many schools have footwear requirements … (13 comments)

NW Austin, TX: Arboretum Plaza Halloween Event ~ Friday, October 28thEvery holiday, our landlords at CBRE, Inc. host a special party for their tenants in the Arboretum Plaza Buildings where we work. This year's Halloween Event includes a Pumpkin Carving Contest. Those that are brave enough, will bring their carved pumpkins to the lobby at 10:00 am on Friday, the 28th to be judged during the day for a chance to win great prizes! Our Landlord CBRE Loves Us Part IIOur landlord treated us to an old-fashioned BBQ in the lobby of our building (Plaza One). There was an 80% chance of rain so they pulled it inside at lunch so we didn't get rained on.They served up brisket, chicken and sausage, tea and lemonade and apple pie!We love our location, views, building and our landlords! CBRE (Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis) loves us! It's the 4th of July this coming weekend and our landlord is treating us to an old-fashioned BBQ on July 1st (rain or shine) in our front entrance by the flag pole! They are going to serve up brisket, chicken and sausage, tea and lemonade and oh...it wouldn't be a picnic if they didn't serve pie! Don't you just love it when you are appreciated? I love our location, our views, our offices and our landlord!!
