The Canyon Creek Elementary PTA each year sponsors a Science Fair on campus. They do this so students (K-5) have an opportunity to explore a science topic of their choice and present the results on a project board for judging and awards! It’s a great time to be creative and dig into a special interest and make a fun and informative presentation. Part of the unique relationship between a not-for-profit co-op and its members is that members share in a co-op’s financial performance. 36 + years ago our son was born. He and his lovely wife now are blessed with their own son who is just 3 months old. Hudson is a gift from God and we are thankful he is here and enriching our lives. I’m thrilled that now our son understands the depth of love a parent feels for the precious life they have created.

                                “Oatmeal Raisin Cookies”This is a recipe my mom always made for delicious Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.  The secret was in the addition of the tsp. of cinnamon and having them chill in the refrigerator before rolling them in balls. We use to love these in our lunches at school! Mom was a home economics teacher and she taught her class to make these cookies because they’re quick & easy and taste delicious.

If you aren’t already a member of the Y and have children who would like a fun time over the holidays then you need to join the YMCA! Subsequently you can take advantage of the winter holiday camp for children ages 5-12! The camp will be held at the Northwest Family YMCA on McNeil and Parmer.

What a week-end! I came to terms on two offers on current listings and got an offer last night on one we are putting on the market today ( I let an agent in early)! I got some Christmas shopping done and had a chance to see and hold our precious grandson who is now 3 months old! It’s Monday morning again, you’ve probably  also had a busy weekend with the holidays and now you’re settling in with your first cup of coffee.  Here is some levity to start your week off! In my previous post,First Lego League Robotics Team in Canyon Creek ~ NW Austin, I talked about our first Canyon Creek Lego League robotics the “Golden Brickmasters” who entered the local competition at Westwood High School on December 8th, 2012.  Well, kudos to coach Shweta Nair and her team for winning!!!  They are off to the state competition held at Westlake HS in Austin the beginning of February!! Their slogan is “It Works Like A Charm!”  Evidently their slogan was a good one as they captured first prize!

This cool crisp morning was perfect for the exciting time at the 2012 Platinum Top 50 Awards Ceremony held at the Austin Music Hall in Austin, Texas. Amber Thomas President of PT50 shared with us there were 20% more applicants this year so being named in the 150 finalists was a coveted spot. They announced the 50 recipients for the Platinum Top 50 Realtors in Austin, Texas. Coldwell Banker United was awarded 7 agent winner spots (two in our NW office)! Yahoo!! I was grateful for my second year in a row to be among the top 50.
