canyon creek elementary: What is the Canyon Creek Elementary PTA SCIENCE FAIR 2012/2013? - 12/23/12 06:06 AM
The Canyon Creek Elementary PTA each year sponsors a Science Fair on campus. They do this so students (K-5) have an opportunity to explore a science topic of their choice and present the results on a project board for judging and awards! It’s a great time to be creative and dig into a special interest and make a fun and informative presentation. It takes a competitive spirit to win a chance to advance to Austin Energy’s Regional Science Festival which takes place in February.Registration is now open! An informational parent meeting was held December 11, 2012 in the CCE Library. When will (22 comments)
canyon creek elementary: What's Capital Credit Distribution?Check Your Pedernales Electric Bill - 12/22/12 04:02 PM
Our ears perk up when we hear about credit distribution of any kind!! If you live in Austin and Pedernales Electric is your service provider..drum roll please…..they are distributing more than $11.9 million in capital credits in December 2012!Be sure and check your utility bill when you get it and look for your capital credits distribution! Part of the unique relationship between a not-for-profit co-op and its members is that members share in a co-op’s financial performance. When revenues exceed expenses, the Co-op earns margins rather than profits. These margins are assigned to each member in the form of “capital credits.” Capital (11 comments)

I’m thrilled that now our son understands the depth of love a parent feels for the precious life they have created.

canyon creek elementary: Yummy Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies My Mom Use To Make! - 12/20/12 11:33 AM
“Oatmeal Raisin Cookies”This is a recipe my mom always made for delicious Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. The secret was in the addition of the tsp. of cinnamon and having them chill in the refrigerator before rolling them in balls. We use to love these in our lunches at school! Mom was a home economics teacher and she taught her class to make these cookies because they’re quick & easy and taste delicious. I continued the tradition for my kids and always kept some in the freezer for an after school treat! My brother's wife got the recipe and still makes him his favorite (19 comments)
canyon creek elementary: Amazon helping to fill the coffers @ Canyon Creek Elementary NW Austin - 12/20/12 04:39 AM

If you go in and use the link on the CCE PTA website at www.ccepta.my-pta.org on the fundraisers tab under the “Support CCE PTA by shoppingat Amazon" link on the left hand side of the page a portion of your purchase goes to the CCE PTA or go directly:http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=cancreeleptaw-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325 How easy is that…..make a purchase and money flows to our community school! As (10 comments)

Each year our NW Austin Coldwell Banker United office likes to give back to our community in a variety of ways. One of our favorite activities is supporting the Austin Children's Shelter at Christmas. There are so many children that would not be having a Christmas if groups like ours didn't help donate gifts. It’s fun to shop for these kids who are living in the Austin Children’s Shelter. I’d hate to think what a dismal day Christmas would be for them if groups did not make the decision to help.We have a list of items requested and we also show it (20 comments)
