I’m feeling blessed the Junior League of Austin Christmas Affair is back this year!! The in-person event this year was so much fun! This year’s theme is “Dashing through the Snow” and returned to the Palmer Events Center located at 900 Barton Springs Road, Austin.
Austin has undergone many changes since I moved here in 1981. The only constant for Austin is “change” but the qualities our city cherishes: compassion, generosity and creativity never change. Every dollar raised during the five-day event provides much-needed funding for the Junior Leagues signature programs and community non-profit partnerships.

The Junior League of Austin sponsors the annual "Christmas Affair" every year the Thursday before Thanksgiving. 2019 marked the 44th annual event and the theme "I'll be home for Christmas"definitely evoked feelings and memories of families, togetherness, excitement and traditions. The Junior League views the Christmas Affair as a market with a mission!

This year’s Austin’s Junior League Christmas Affair is named “Christmas in the City” and is an event you don’t want to miss! The store fronts created are exceptional and I really liked the shopping extravaganza offered this year!

Get a jump start on getting into the Christmas mood and get over to the Palmer Events Center for the annual Junior League extravaganza "The Christmas Affair"! This year the theme is "The Magic of Christmas".  It's running from November 17th-20th.  Click here for more information: www.jlaustin.org.I make it a priority to go every year to kick off the holiday season! Enchanted Christmas Affair 2010 ~ Junior League ~ Austin, TXThis morning was great fun!  I made my annual trek to the Christmas Affair sponsored by the Junior League of Austin.  This year their theme was "Enchanted" and it was executed with snowflakes falling creating an air of childlike wonderment! 
As their brochure said: "Imagine a Forest...a Magical Place Filled with Gifts of Gratitude."  The Thursday morning event is kicked off with a private breakfast and 3 hours of comprehensive shopping for those of us who are serious Christmas shoppers.

Thursday morning a friend and I made sure we made our trek to The Christmas Affair breakfast and shopping event the Austin Junior League sponsors each November the week before Thanksgiving.  This makes their 34th production and each year they surprise us with a unique and exciting theme.  With "It's A Wild Holiday" theme guests experience a magical trip back in time to a classical African Safari. 
Browsing the merchant's stalls, peaking at all the baubles is a fun way to kick off the holiday season. We feel smug in the knowledge we are also supporting the Austin community as the … (7 comments)
