I see businesses every day that didn’t get the memo their cheese moved. Their industry changed and they didn’t zig and zag with it or they just realized their shelf life was soon to expire. Look at Radio Shack..help me..help me.... I’m losing ground and need another transfusion! Did the powers at be not realize the consumer doesn’t need speaker wire anymore? Did they not check out their competition and see what you could buy and for how much at Circuit City?

What a week-end! We enjoyed rain with even some thunder..we haven't seen that much in the past few years! With the cooler temperatures I was inspired to decorate our fireplace mantel and dining room table. I even put out our fall wreath! One of my listings got an offer and inspections were done on Friday..finally got an Amendment last night with a request for repairs. When we were traveling in Istanbul this summer we made sure we made time to visit the Hagia Sophia Museum which incorporates both Christian and Islamic influences and features today.
Sophia means Wisdom in Greek language. When the full name of Hagia Sophia is translated to English it means The Shrine of The Holy of God.
Because of the 40 windows in the area where the worshipers sit it’s famous for the reflecting mystical light.

Before embarking on our cruise from Venice to Istanbul this summer we caught up with our daughter and her family in Venice. They had been exploring Rome, Florence and Pisa. When holding an open house the normal channels of getting the word out is always a given..advertising in the paper, on the internet, MLS, Trulia, Zillow, Realtor.com etc. Hand written notes to the neighbors and of course direct mail.
I received an email from an agent recently, and I was impressed that the agent took the time to research recently sold homes in the area of their open house and came up with a list of the agents who represented the buyers of these homes.

Each year our Coldwell Banker United NW Austin office sets a goal of $6,000 to donate to the American Cancer society. We have endured many agents in our company who fought a battle with different forms of cancer so this is a commitment that is near and dear to our hearts. Even today we have a seasoned agent battling breast cancer for the second time in 2 years.
