mobile loaves and fishes: Filling boxes with Socks for the homeless
- 11/29/17 02:41 PM
Our Coldwell Banker NW office makes it a point to make a difference in the communities we serve. We found out the number one need for the homeless with the cold weather approaching is SOCKS! Who knew? Our office immediately set out on a mission to collect SOCKS for men, women and children in shelters and on the street. We now have two boxes filled and are working on a third! By the end of the week who knows how many we will have! We are also accepting gloves, hats and scarves. Once collected, Mobile Loaves and Fishes will distribute them to those in need. Amber Thomas created another memorable event for PT50 at the Mansion on June 16, 2016! What fun and even Amber walked the runway for a “wrap” of the 3rd Annual PT50 Fashion Show Fundraiser! The guys stole the show with their modeling antics and produced many loud rounds of applause!! David Burton...you may have stolen the show with Ricky Cain closing following suit! Have you heard about Mobile Loaves & Fishes? They really are a miracle on Wheels! Last night Geno and I attended a dinner where Alan Graham the founder of Mobile Loaves and Fishes spoke. His belief of relieving immediate hunger is fundamental in taking the next steps toward emotional and spiritual healing, earning a living wage, making a home and developing healthy relationships. Caring volunteers, with dignity and respect prepare and deliver wholesome meals, clothing essentials and hygiene products to our homeless brothers and sisters every night of the week. Mobile Loaves and Fishes trucks go out every day of the year and feed thousands of homeless people and families who can barely pay their house payments. The trucks are loaded by volunteers but there is a need for donated food items to fill the trucks. Families are needed to donate goods so the trucks can keep rolling. Canyon Creek PTA is calling out for donations to help restock the Mobile Loaves Ministry with the following items that are currently low in supply: CANNED SPAGHETTI SAUCE – no glass jars CEREAL BOXES – regular sized, no jumbo sizes (11 comments)
