Austin is use to making the national news...#1...#2...all kinds of accolades as Austin has been touted as the city who is successfully leading the pack in creating jobs and being the most affordable place to live.
Austin has our share of characters and many like to uphold our slogan (some more closely to the vest than others) "Keep Austin Weird". We are known to embrace our "weirdness" and revel in what makes Austin different from other growing cities.

What is Dyslexia and how does it affect learning?Dyslexia refers to a difficulty in learning to read in a person who has good intelligence, strong motivation and who has received appropriate teaching.
In February, 2012 the Round Rock ISD in Austin, TX offered a dyslexia simulation presentation by the districts dyslexic specialists - Maryann Barry, Lynn Bryan, Penny Chilcutt, Asher Garonzik, Sondra Hoskins and Karen Lentz.
Due to the overwhelming response to the dyslexia presentation they are hosting another one Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 7-8:30pm at the Old Hopewell Building (next to the Round Rock ISD Administration Offices).

I read an excellent post yesterday morning from Debe Maxwell concerning reasons your house may not be selling and it's not your Realtors® fault.Some neighborhoods have been declining due to schools deteriorating, major traffic jams, distressed properties and lack of upkeep. Due to the economy many residents lose interest in keeping their annual activities on track...community garage sales, Halloween, Easter, Memorial and Labor Day events. Austin TX ~ August 2011 Inventory of Homes and Months of Supply DecliningAccording to the Austin Board of Realtor in comparing the past 12 Months Supply of Inventory we can see the average is 6.8 months which has remained constant compared to 2010. However, in comparing August 2010 to August 2011 the Months Supply of Inventory has fallen 21.2%.
In reviewing the Inventory of Homes for Sale for the past year they are down 6.1% and in comparing August 2010 to 2011 inventory of homes for sale are down 24.2%

Participants can run a 5K through downtown Austin on Saturday October 15, 2011 or cycle 20,45,65 or 90 miles throughout the hill country on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Show Your Clients Your Search Engine Results Page I learned a valuable tip the other day from Barbara Todaro's post. She suggested creating a marketing piece to add to your listing brochure. What a dynamite idea! I formed a page that is a screen shot of a Google search for one keyword phrase: "Canyon Creek in Austin, TX".
