Sunday, May 12, 2013 was Mothers Day!  Our 6 grandchildren all came over to “open” the pool!  Paw Paw made sure that all ages 8 months to 17 years were able to swim comfortably.  Early in the morning he turned the heater on to remove any possible chill. That’s what Paw Paws are for...taking special care of his flock!  Of course, at the end of the day he was in bed by 8:30!!!

What a busy week-end! We pulled off another exciting annual Easter Egg Hunt in Canyon Creek at Trailhead park on Saturday in NW Austin! The kiddos had so much fun...even our youngest 6 month old grandson made an appearance. We made two friend's birthday parties and I came to terms on a home for one of my buyers. I concentrate my real estate efforts in NW Austin especially in the Canyon Creek subdivision. Since August of 2008 the real estate market in NW Austin has been tumultuous.  Buyers had their choice of homes due to high inventory but found financing problematic.We have a bit of the perfect storm brewing where sellers made the choice to stay put because of the flat market a few years ago and now with inbound migration and confidence back in our economy there is simply a shortage of inventory in many areas, especially in NW Austin.  Buyers are now coming to the realization with … (18 comments)

We’ve lived with oak cabinets since our single story home was built in 1994. When we updated our kitchen with granite counters, under mount sink, travertine backsplash and new stainless appliances we made the decision not to replace the oak cabinets. We couldn’t decide whether to have them re-stained, gelled or painted so decided to wait and think about it.
I’m so glad we waited..the more homes I’ve seen with painted cabinets convinced me that was the route to take. I made an appointment with Brian Morris, my favorite decorator (better known as the Wizard), and he helped select the perfect color … (50 comments)

What a week-end, showed property, enjoyed a date with my Geno and worked diligently on our income taxes to submit to our CPA (will be completed by the end of the week)!! Our house is in total disaray with 2 remodeling projects :). Canyon Creek Elementary is at it again! The Environment Awareness Committee is calling on the whole community to join in and help recycle your HEB grocery bags. Only HEB bags can be recycled in this program!
 
When you have 20-50 bags in hand, stack them facing the same direction, then roll them as tightly as possible from the bottom end up to the handle to create a small log. Use two separate bags, one at each end, to tie the log.
