Sandbridge Dolphin Challenge 5K and 10K
Ever since I completed the Rock N Roll 1/2 Marathon in September my 4 yr old has been wanting to run.  Not just jog - run.  He wants to run a race and win a trophy! 
Every day when I get home from work he is asking - "Can we run again?  I really need to practice running."

I did it!  I completed the Virginia Beach Rock N Roll 1/2 Marathon this past Sunday! What can I say?  Finishing a 1/2 Marathon is a true feeling of accomplishment when you cross the finish line.

What is YEHR? It is YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS OF HAMPTON ROADS. 
It is a group of professionals 40 and under in the Hampton Roads area where you can grow, network and learn from each other.  I had the privilege of going to my first meeting last night and was very impressed with the turnout.  It was a room full of young professionals with alot of energy, motivation and just all around great group of individuals.

I don't know what happened but I almost totally forgot to write my blog post for National Procrastination Week which is March 2-8 2009 this year.
So during National Procrastination Week do you procrastinate everything or do you vow to not procrastinate?

Today is National Pancake Day - February 24, 2009

 
What better way to celebrate today than at IHOP with a FREE short stack of pancakes today from 7 am to 10pm.  All they ask is a donation to Childrens Miracle Network. 

They have 10 locations in the Hampton Roads area to visit.

I got an alarm registration in the mail last week and wanted to share with others in case you didn't receive. 
Virginia Beach Police Department has asked that you register your business or home if you have a security system with a one time $10 fee.  The reason behind this is that they receive 22,000 false alarms a year and needs to be able to keep database up and to help cover costs. 
You are allowed 2 false alarms per year and then it goes to $150 for homes and $250 for businesses.
