Ladera Ranch-UNICEF Trick Or Treat Reminder - 10/31/10 02:54 PM
Ladera Ranch Unicef Trick or Treat Reminder

Halloween is finally here...my family is so excited to participate in UNICEF's Trick-Or-Treat.  Collections boxes are still available at Avendale club...or if they're closed or out, Toy's R Us has plenty.  Remember to have your children bring their collection boxes with them tonight.  After collection, bring the coins to the Coinstar (there's one in the Albertson's on Crown Valley) and follow the directions on how to make sure UNICEF gets the funds.
I think the collection and bringing the coins to Coinstar is a great family event, that encourages giving back.

Pay-It-Forward Giving Back to the Environment - 10/30/10 07:16 AM
Pay-It-Forward Healing & Helping the Environment
My children have been such a great source for my Pay-It-Forward blogs.  We were driving over the 241 Toll Road into Yorba Linda, CA & my sons saw some of the burned out trunks from the last set of fires.  My oldest said, "Dad can we plant some trees for the environment?", my younger son added, "great idea!".  I was then hit with a 20 minute lecture on how the trees will create oxygen for the environment, etc., etc.....I guess they really are learning some valuable lessons in school.  I was very proud of their enthusiasm … (8 comments)

Pay It Forward-Ladera Ranch-Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF - 10/21/10 07:49 PM

Halloween is such an amazing holiday for children & adults alike.  It's also a great way to Pay it Forward.  UNICEF has set a great program that teaches our children that giving back can be fun and fullfilling.  On Halloween Night, children carry a UNICEF box with them while they trick-or-treat and ask people that they visit to donate any spare change for UNICEF.  I'm very excited to get my children involved and teach them  valuable lesson. How to participate: 1. Pick up collection boxes at Avendale or Oak Knoll Clubhouses in Ladera      Ranch ( if you're out of the area … (5 comments)

House is Sold, Time to Move......Things You Will Need To Remember Check-List..... - 10/15/10 12:37 AM
I really like this checklist, moving is such an agonizing task that no one looks forward to.  This is a great list to pass on to your clients or include in a closing package

A Home Stagers Quickie Tip-Bathrooms - 10/11/10 01:33 AM
Some great information for sellers, dirty bathrooms can be a deal killer for sure.  First impressions are so important, especially concerning bathroom...these tips will help with improving sights and smells
Via Cindy Bryant Home Staging & Home Stager Houston~Redesign Etc.~RESA-PRO~RVP RESA (Redesign Etc. Home Staging):
I've come across several germophobes lately that tell me dirty bathrooms can be a deal killer.  Hard to believe but true.  I can't stress that your bathrooms need to shine and sparkle.  Seems obvious, but I see it all the time.  Put your bathroom through a deep, and I mean deep cleaning, using a toothbrush (if necessary) to … (0 comments)

Do I need to renovate my kitchen and bathroom(s) to sell? - 10/11/10 01:25 AM
So many sellers struggle with how to get their houses ready to sell.  This post brings up a great post and that is the time lost while improvements are being done.
Via Amy Bly (Great Impressions Home Staging, River Vale, NJ):
The answer is . . . it depends. On what kind of shape the fixtures and cabinets are in, on whether they can be "spruced up" by glazing (as in a bathtub) or painting (cabinets) and swapping out new hardware for old or new faucets for old. Most buyers really want and will pay more for granite or marble countertops and … (3 comments)

Profiting from a Fixer-Upper House By Robert J. Bruss

Higher Conforming Loan Limit In Orange County California Extended Until September 30th, 2011 - 10/01/10 06:56 PM
Without an extension to retain the conforming loan limit of $729,750 (Orange County Californai High Cost Area Limit) another difficult blow to the market would occur.  Thank goodness Congress and the Administration were wise enough not to trifle with this.
