Beaver Lodges In Central PennsylvaniaOn a back woods road somewhere north west of State College PA we happened upon a few beaver lodges.  Beaver are nocturnal so we did not see any activity in the water around their home. 
Beaver are creatures that transform their surroundings by building a dam, which creates a pond, and they build their den or lodge in the center of the pond.
