What does Chess and REALTORS® Have In Common? - 01/17/12 09:24 PM
If you are a chess player you know that it is a game of planning, strategy, constant changes, wins and defeats. Make the wrong move and checkmate. Real estate for REALTORS® is no different. Both real estate and chess have similarities. Let’s look at the history of Chess. Chess can be traced back to India in the 1500’s then known as chaturaṅga; “which translates as "four divisions (of the military)": infantry, cavalry, elephantry, and chariotry, represented by the pieces that would evolve into the modern pawn, knight, bishop, and rook, respectively.”[1] . Chess spread to Persia and later to southern Europe.
