I was watching TLC last night, an episode of "The Real Estate Pros" and the house that wouldn't sell. It hit me that either Richard and the Trademark Properties team were doing some creative editing to increase the drama or were complete idiots! Ok, eliminating the "complete idiots" idea was easy because they have put together an impressive team and made a lot of money (both in real estate AND in marketing his company on TV)... Here's the issue. This home had been sitting on the market for an excruciatingly long period of time. There was some moisture problem identified with the hardwood (0 comments)

I've recently been reading a few posts that give their insights into the future. Charles Tharp and Lenn Harley both have quality featured posts...and both point to when (and under what conditions) the pendulum may begin to swing the other way in many of the markets out there (all real estate is local...right?). Here's what I've been pondering: Some will give up. Depending upon the conditions in your local market, there are REALTORs who will not survive the challenges and move on to 'greener pastures.'Some will "hang on" and find a way through; once again prospering on the rising tide that raises all boats.A (0 comments)

Do you remember Susan Powter? She is a fitness and weight loss motivational speaker who I first came to know of in the mid to late 80's...known by her very short hair and vivid personality, her central theme was in making a life-style change and stopping the yo-yo dieting and crash, short-term programs to improve your life. I think in OUR real estate world today, it's time to STOP THE INSANITY!
