life advice: Lessons from my Daughter - 08/24/10 03:31 PM

My 14 year old daughter is trying out for the High School Girl's Volleyball team. She's been playing competitive (sort of) volleyball since 4th grade, but she never played "Club" ball. She loves volleyball, but is somewhat challenged by genetics (she's not tall...my fault I'm sorry to say), however she is a very coach-able athlete. I wanted to be a good and encouraging Dad, but with such a competitive field this year I was concerned that she wouldn't make the team - and that it could be devastating to her. This is where she taught ME a lesson:
