I'm a back road kinda gal. Whenever possible I like to stay off the highways, especially when I'm just a passenger. Although (sometimes) more convenient I find highways just too noisy and crowded but most of all, incredibly dull. So back roads it is for me .. gently rolling hills, Small Town USA, historic properties, barns and Farmland Forever and the occasional and unexpected surprise, a.k.a. photo opp! Today's back road surprise was a real-life Mater, yep, Mater as in Lightning McQueen's buddy, spotted somewhere en route to Gettysburg, PA:
